Forge
Forge builds steel closed-combustion fireplaces with a deliberately plain aesthetic — square bodies, wide glass and no decorative castings to date them. The range is designed in matched pairs, so every freestanding model has an insert equivalent at the same output, which makes it straightforward to specify the same look in different rooms of one house. Outputs run from 10 kW up to 20 kW, covering everything from a small study to a double-volume open-plan home. Freestanding units take an optional high or low log box.

freestanding stoves
Compact10 kWForge TEN
Portrait format, 10 kW, 89 m²
R 16 495
The smallest Forge — a tall portrait stove with a narrow footprint, built for apartments, studies and smaller lounges where a landscape unit would dominate the wall.

freestanding stoves
10 kWForge F40
10 kW in the smallest landscape format
R 18 995
The entry point into the landscape Forge stoves. Same 10 kW output as the TEN but in a wider, lower body that sits better under a low ceiling.

freestanding stoves
12 kWForge F50
12 kW, 107 m²
R 26 995
A step up in both output and glass width. The F50 covers a standard lounge comfortably and is the most commonly specified Forge freestanding unit.

freestanding stoves
14 kWForge F70
14 kW, 125 m²
R 26 995
Wider glass, more output, and enough capacity for an open-plan living and dining space. The F70 is where the Forge range starts competing on heat rather than just on price.

freestanding stoves
15 kWForge F80
15 kW, 134 m²
R 29 995
Nearly 800 mm of body with 15 kW behind it. Suited to double-volume rooms where the heat has somewhere to go before it reaches the people sitting in front of it.

freestanding stoves
17 kWForge F100
17 kW, 152 m²
R 36 495
A metre of steel and glass. At 152 m² of heating area the F100 handles most open-plan ground floors on its own, at a price no cast-iron unit of the same output comes close to.

freestanding stoves
Flagship20 kWForge F120
20 kW, 178 m² — the biggest Forge
R 48 495
The largest freestanding unit Forge builds: 1.2 m wide, 20 kW, and a 180 mm flue to carry it. Specified for lodges, barns and double-volume homes.

built in inserts
12 kWForge I-50
12 kW built-in, 107 m²
R 26 995
The compact Forge insert. Designed to be built into a wall so only the glass shows — a clean, contemporary result at a fraction of the cost of an imported cast-iron insert.

built in inserts
14 kWForge I-70
14 kW built-in, 125 m²
R 26 995
A landscape insert wide enough to read as a feature wall rather than a hole in the plaster. The most popular built-in Forge for standard open-plan homes.

built in inserts
15 kWForge I-80
15 kW built-in, 134 m²
R 29 995
The mid-large insert, at 795 mm wide. Enough output for a double-volume lounge without moving up to the 180 mm flue that the I-120 requires.

built in inserts
17 kWForge I-100
17 kW built-in, 152 m²
R 36 495
A metre of built-in fire. The I-100 gives the wide-format architectural look that usually comes with an imported price tag, and still runs on a standard 150 mm flue.

built in inserts
Widest20 kWForge I-120
20 kW built-in, 178 m² — the widest
R 48 495
The biggest insert Forge builds: 1.2 m of glass and 20 kW behind it. Needs a 180 mm flue and a wall designed around it, but nothing else in the range makes this much of a statement.
Supplier list price for the unit, incl VAT — flue, fascia and installation are quoted separately and prices are subject to change. Talk to VlamHaus for a supplied-and-installed figure. March 2026 list.
